TEDDY DAVIS

PRODUCER - CREATIVE - WRITER

I’m Teddy Davis, a Shooting Assistant Producer based in London with a passion for documentary, current affairs, and creative development. Over the years, I’ve filmed stories across the UK, US, Australia, and Europe. My credits include work for ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5 on projects spanning current affairs, royal programming, and factual entertainment.

I spent two years honing my craft in the ITV newsroom, which gave me a strong foundation in fast-paced news. More recently, I played a key role in high-profile political documentaries like “Keir Starmer: Up Close,” “Rishi Sunak: The Leaders Interview,” and “Trump: The Return?”. I’ve also contributed to investigative projects such as “Tabloids on Trial.”

I’m driven by a love of news, politics, history, and modern affairs — it’s the common thread through all my storytelling, whether I’m out in the field shooting a documentary or brainstorming a new writing project. I believe understanding our world, past and present, is key to telling authentic, impactful stories.

I’m also deeply curious about nature, archaeology, and the untold stories of our past. I also am an avid scriptwriter and hope to one day also branch into scripted television as wel — I have a soft spot for science fiction, folk horror and historical stories. No matter the medium, I approach every project with earnest enthusiasm and a sharp eye for detail. I’m always excited for the next story to tell and the next challenge to tackle.

Rishi Sunak: Up Close offered a rare look at the man behind the political machine. I joined Anushka Asthana to get beyond the prime ministerial polish and uncover some of the stories that shaped him.

Sunak spoke candidly about facing racist taunts as a kid and how his parents were so keen for him to fit in that they sent him to drama classes to lose his Yorkshire accent. We filmed in Number 10, including inside the PM’s study, making this one of the more surreal shoots I’ve been part of.

My role was Assistant Producer, focused on logistics and production alongside talent and contributor management.

Lucy Letby
After Lucy Letby
ITV
Assistant Producer

After Lucy Letby: Silence on the Wards was investigative storytelling at its most urgent. In the wake of the UK’s most talked about child serial killer case, I helped our ITV Tonight team expose how hospital managers ignored whistleblowers’ warnings — with deadly consequences.

We secured a powerful interview with Dr. Ravi Jayaram, the paediatrician who tried to sound the alarm on Letby, and I coordinated an exclusive survey of NHS consultants that revealed 71 percent fear their careers would be harmed if they raised patient safety concerns.

Handling this highly sensitive material with care was paramount. The result was a film that prompted a nationwide conversation about NHS culture and whistleblowing.

Trump: The Return?
Trump: The Return?
ITV
Assistant Producer

Trump: The Return? was an hour-long film following ITV’s US correspondent Robert Moore as he lifted the lid on Donald Trump’s audacious 2024 comeback bid. We explored the surreal possibility of a “president serving from prison,” an unprecedented scenario that defined Trump’s campaign.

From chaotic rally footage to candid interviews, I worked closely with Robert to weave together the contradictions and fervor of Trump’s base. Our documentary asked tough questions about why his appeal endures in America’s heartland.

Even skeptical reviewers took notice, proving that Trump: The Return? hit a nerve at the perfect moment as history seemed poised to repeat itself.

AI: What You Need to Know
AI: What You Need to Know
ITV
Researcher

AI: What You Need to Know was our attempt to demystify the biggest tech buzzword of the year for a prime-time audience. I worked with reporter Rachel Younger to explore both the promise and the perils of artificial intelligence — from life-saving healthcare advances to unsettling questions about whether we can control what we’ve created.

As the resident tech geek on the team, I even designed a deepfake video and an AI voice clone for the show, injecting a jaw-dropping demo into the narrative.

Mobility: Access Denied?
Mobility: Access Denied?
ITV
Researcher

Access Denied? Britain’s Mobility Problem followed Claire Lomas, a wheelchair user and charity campaigner, as she tested how truly accessible British travel really is.

I worked as a Researcher across the show, supporting the team on location and managing user-generated content. Claire’s experience was powerful — and revealing — and the film played a role in opening up conversations around practical change.

Tabloids on Trial
Tabloids on Trial
ITV
Researcher

Tabloids on Trial was one of those rare projects where you feel history unfolding on camera. Working closely with ITV News correspondent Rebecca Barry, the team secured frank interviews with some of the most high-profile victims of tabloid phone hacking — Prince Harry, Hugh Grant, Charlotte Church and Paul Gascoigne.

The stakes were sky-high. Every claim had to be bulletproof. I spent weeks poring over legal documents and fact-checking sources to ensure our film could withstand intense scrutiny.

The result was explosive. Harry even used our documentary to reveal how his fight against the tabloids was a central factor in his rift with the royal family, a moment that made headlines worldwide.

Rich Kids Go Skint pairs privileged young people with families living on the breadline to open their eyes to the realities of life without luxury. As Production Coordinator, I worked across logistics, scheduling, and contributor care, helping ensure shoots ran smoothly and respectfully in often sensitive domestic settings.

Digital Nomads
Work Where You Want?
ITV
Shooting Assistant Producer

Work Where You Want? was an episode exploring the rise of remote working. We followed several British digital nomads to see if the freedom lives up to the hype.

I even directed my own shoots in Portugal to capture this global trend. Alongside presenter Chloe Keedy, we wanted to challenge the fantasy a bit. What are the hidden costs of never being tied to an office?

The story struck a nerve with everyone who’s dreamed of escaping the nine to five. In the end, we painted a nuanced picture of Britain’s evolving work-life balance, showing that working from anywhere isn’t always as simple as it may seem.

Claim Your Cash set out to help viewers recover unclaimed money they didn’t even know they were missing. I joined early in production as a Casting Researcher, and one of my contributors alone uncovered £5 million in lost pension savings.

The film had a feel-good energy to it but was built around a serious mission — empowering people to take control of what’s theirs. I helped shape that story from the start.

Boris Johnson: The Interview was a sit-down with the former Prime Minister following the 2024 election cycle. I worked across the production, supporting the team with scripting, prep, and edit coordination. The result was a rare, calm portrait of a notoriously chaotic figure.
